Develop Ideal Client Personas

An ideal client profile is the first step in establishing who you are marketing to, but it is helpful to picture exactly who you are marketing to. To do this, create one persona—a fictional representation of your ideal prospect—for each of the client profiles you created. Give the personas a name, an avatar, and a back story. And include the greatest financial changes they are facing, which you gathered from conducing your target market survey (see last week’s 52). Use these personas as filters for all marketing decisions going forward. Just ask, “Would Robert and Deborah resonate with this?”
