The author of Uncomparable: The Financial Advisor’s Guide to Standing Out Through Niche Marketing, Kristen Luke has built a career on empowering financial advisory firms to become “uncomparable” as unique leaders in their space.

Kristen works with financial advisors to create marketing systems that attract their ideal clients. Since founding the original iteration of the business in 2008, she has guided hundreds of financial advisors to create and implement strategies that help them stand out and close more clients.

Her specialty within the firm is innovation. She loves uncovering the most effective ways for advisors to market their business. She works with advisors to help them choose a niche and develop a strategy for reaching it. In addition, she is responsible for Kaleido’s own strategy and marketing.

Kristen is a recognized thought leader in the financial services industry and the author of Uncomparable: The Financial Advisor’s Guide to Standing Out Through Niche Marketing. She frequently shares her marketing expertise at industry events and with podcasts and publications, such as the Financial Planning Association, Dimensional Fund Advisors, Kitces.com, and Advisor Perspectives.

  • Has earned the nickname “The Niche Whisperer” because she can usually identify an advisor’s unique niche within a single discussion.

  • Holds her private pilot license for single-engine aircraft and her instrument rating.

  • Splits her time between her home in San Diego and her cabin in Idyllwild, CA.

  • Opened her first business at age 22—a beachfront bar in Lombok, Indonesia.
